Being a writer can be brutal. I’m deep in story development on a new project and it has me looking at everything through the lens of what and why and how. My new project is all things salt and green. Mossy, vining things growing where they shouldn’t. Hot summer sunshine on long-cold winter skin. A tale of sisters and time and loss. It’s been 1 year, 6 months, and 15 days since I last posted. And what a time it’s been. For my 200th post, I’m doing something somewhat unorthodox. For the first time in a decade, my holiday seasons are now dominated by all the things I want them to be. Me and my clean slates. I've been pretty stressed about one thing in particular with our recent move. Where am I going to do my booksta photo shoots now? This year was not my best reading year. I set a very manageable goal (excited to blow it away) and rocked out the first half of the year. Zipped past the goal and. stopped.
